A Beginner’s Guide To Erogenous Zones

7-zones

7-zonesIt’s all too easy to rush straight into sex when your heart is racing, adrenaline is pumping through your veins and everything is throbbing down below, but when it’s all over in seven minutes you can be left feeling a little… unsatisfied.

Was that it?

Foreplay is not only fun and stimulating in its own right, it prepares the body for sex, makes penetrative intercourse feel even nicer and best of all it makes your orgasm far more intense.

Before we get down to touching naughty parts, let’s take the time to thoroughly explore the erogenous zones.

So what are these zones?

The first time I ever heard of “erogenous zones” would have been more than ten years ago in an episode of Friends. Everyone’s seen Friends, right? Well you may remember the episode where Monica draws Chandler a map of the female body, illustrating where each of the seven erogenous zones are;

“1, 2, 1-2-3, 3, 5, 4, 3-2, 2, 2-4-6, 2-4-6, 4, 2, 2, 4-7, 5-7, 6-7, 7… 7… 7… 7 7 7 7 7 7… seven!”

… Well I’m here to tell you that there are more than seven erogenous zones.

So, where are they?

For women, the sensitive spots are the lips, ears, neck, inner-elbows, breasts and nipples, navel, lower back, buttocks, inner things, backs of knees, soles of feet, toes, and of course, genitals. For men it’s pretty much the same, just swap breasts for chest, add forearms (apparently) and all that comes with male genitalia; scrotum, perineum…

So, now that you know what the erogenous zones do and where they’re located, how can you use this anatomical map to make your sex life far more interesting?

Rule 1 – Start light.
Rule 2 – Leave the genitals ‘til last.

They say the body is like a musical instrument; you need to play it well to make the most beautiful music.

Start by lightly stimulating one of the lesser erogenous zones; perhaps touch the inner elbow or softly graze their navel. Next, get your mouth involved. Gently nibble your partner’s ear or kiss your way down from their neck to their chest.

When your partner is softly moaning and enjoying the intimacy of your touch, start to work the more sensitive areas such as the nipples and inner thighs. Don’t be afraid to use your teeth as well as your lips and tongue. To mix things up, switch back to the less sensitive areas to keep them longing for more.

When they’re biting their lip and grabbing at the bed sheet, unable to take the exquisite torture any longer, slide your hand down there for the sweet relief they most desperately need. That’s not the end of foreplay though; give them what they want then take it away again and go back to another erogenous zone. Keep moving back and forth, around the body, number to number, just like Monica taught you.

Eventually touching, licking, stroking, kissing, rubbing and biting will lead to sex and hopefully one out-of-this-world orgasm. Once you’ve spent the best part of an hour building up to sex you’ll wondered why you ever opted for the quickie.

I hope you have fun exploring your partner’s erogenous zones. If you want to get even more creative you could try using feathers, ice, dripping wax, nipple clamps, vibrating sex toys and even a gentle flogger for kinkier and more tantalizing foreplay.
